Grüninger Netzwerk GmbH was founded in 1998 by Stephan Grüninger, a graduate engineer. As an aerospace engineer, he initially started out in the network and telecommunications sector, working with copper cables. He independently built networks for his customers and managed their telephone systems.
In the 2000s, fiber optic cabling was added as an alternative to DSL connections. Since his school days, Robin Grüninger helped his father at work during vacations or on weekends, thus becoming familiar with the subject at an early age. After graduating from high school, he trained as an IT specialist in system integration before joining the company in 2016.
